Cal Bierman grew up in Iowa, and has listened to KRNT since he was a child. He went to Grand View College, and then went to work for Iowa Public Television and KSO radio. He worked for radio stations in Fort Dodge and Ames before finding a permanenthome in Des Moines in 1988. That same year, he married Cynthia and they remain huge KRNT fans. Cal has done work for all 5 stations in the Des Moines Radio Group, but KRNT has always remained closest to his heart.
