The program concludes with the most popular of Liszt’s symphonic poems, the majestic Les Préludes. Concert Prelude Talks begin 45 minutes prior to each Masterworks concert in the Prairie Meadows (East) Lobby.

    Iowa’s Own Monuments Man: George Stout

    Historian Nancy Trask will present slides about the Monuments Men, focusing on George Stout, who was born and raised in Winterset. George Clooney’s character in the movie was based on Stout. Nancy’s slides were collected from correspondence with George Stout’s granddaughter, Winterset resources, and various publications.

Amanda Knox murder conviction overturned

Both Knox and Sutherland are 27. No wedding date had been set.
